1. Select a suitable substrate

In order to improve the quality of ecological boards, high-quality decorative base paper must be selected. During the production process, the process requirements must be strictly followed to ensure that the adhesive amount reaches the qualified index, and the melamine paper can be coated on density boards, class flower classes, and other artificial boards. For different substrates, the selection requirements of paper are also different.

The quality of the substrate requires flatness, cleanliness, no surface errors, no deviation in edge dimensions, and accurate thickness dimensions. The moisture content of the board should be controlled within an appropriate range. If the moisture content is too high, melamine paper will be delaminated after bonding. If the moisture content is low, it may cause uneven bonding.

2. Perform hot pressing treatment

After selecting the substrate, the board and decorative paper must be hot pressed. The three elements of hot pressing are: time, temperature, and pressure. According to general production experience, the hot pressing temperature of ecological boards is more suitable between 140-160 degrees. Increasing the temperature can shorten the time, but the temperature cannot exceed 170 degrees, otherwise it will cause the pores of the board to shrink, the elasticity of the board is indeed, and the quality is greatly reduced. Increasing the pressure can better allow the substrate and the veneer paper to bond. The melamine veneer paper is melted and solidified on the surface of the substrate to form a veneer. The use of low pressure during the production process will affect the bonding strength between the substrate and the decorative paper. The hot pressing time is generally controlled at about one minute. Too long time will cause the melamine paper to be over-cured, lose elasticity, and easily cause cracks, subsequent processing curling, etc. If the time is too short, the resin is not cured enough, and the board is prone to sticking. It also affects the performance of the product surface and the durability of the ecological board. For the time required for different materials, the parameters need to be adjusted for the test time. 

3. Product quality inspection 

There will be many problems in the subsequent product quality inspection. Among them, the sticking board phenomenon is caused by the short hot pressing time or too low temperature during the hot pressing process, and the incomplete curing of the melamine resin. It may also be caused by too high moisture content of the base board, unclean board surface, and inaccurate hot pressing position.

The glue board phenomenon on the side of the ecological board is caused by low edge temperature, deviation of the slab position in the press, or incomplete curing of the adhesive. Therefore, appropriately increasing the temperature or extending the time can solve this type of problem. The problem of board warping may be caused by large temperature difference and different properties of decorative paper.

To produce high-quality ecological boards, it is necessary to select good melamine paper and substrate, as well as reasonable processing technology. In addition, the debugging of the technician is required to produce products with stable quality.
