Moisture-proof board is a board that adds a certain proportion of moisture-proof particles during the production process of the base material, also known as melamine board (base material), which can greatly reduce the degree of expansion of the board when it encounters water. Generally, moisture-proof boards produced by regular board manufacturers have obvious markings to distinguish them from ordinary boards. For example, the well-known European Aijia board is a moisture-proof board mixed with green and red pigments. Different colors represent different moisture-proof properties. Kitchen countertops with higher moisture-proof requirements can choose red boards with better moisture-proof properties, and cabinet door panels can choose green boards.

Soak the ordinary base material and the moisture-proof base material in water at the same time. After two hours of expansion changes, the expansion rate of the ordinary board is significantly higher than that of the moisture-proof board. Moisture-proof board has good moisture-proof properties and is suitable for kitchen furniture and bathroom furniture.

Characteristics

To determine the quality of moisture-proof boards, there are generally three major aspects:

(1) Environmental protection: mainly refers to whether the glue added is acetal glue or melamine glue. The latter is very environmentally friendly, but it is not easy for ordinary customers to identify it. Smelling the smell is also wrong. Some have no smell after being stored for a long time. Some have a smell after being sealed for a long time. The smell is much stronger in hot weather. A better way is to combine the inspection report and the mark on the board. Just looking at the inspection report is not enough, because a factory will produce boards of different grades, and the inspection report you see may not be of this grade. Combining the grade mark on the board is much more reliable. Under normal circumstances, manufacturers and merchants can make random introductions and issue random orders. They can deny what they say. What is written on paper can be said to be wrong. At most, it can be redone. It is not as simple as redoing it on the product.

(2) Physical properties: such as gripping force, deformation resistance, strength, etc. It is not easy for people who do not know this to recognize it. Generally, the following points can be used to identify it: the particles of the moisture-proof board cannot be too large, otherwise the strength is insufficient, and they cannot be too small, otherwise they may be sawdust. Cut it open and look at the cross section (it should be irregular, it cannot be seen if it is flat), and see how many needle-like sheets there are.

(3) Moisture resistance: This is even more difficult to judge. You can only take different brands home and soak them in water to see

During the use of moisture-proof board furniture, try to avoid scratching, friction and gravity impact with sharp objects. If it encounters water, it should be removed and wiped dry in time, because the moisture-proof board does not completely not expand when it encounters water, but the expansion rate is very small. If it is exposed to water for a long time, it may also cause expansion and deformation. In addition, if the edge sealing material of the board falls off, it must be repaired immediately to avoid moisture.
