1.What is melamine particleboard

Melamine particleboard is a man-made board made of wood or other non-wood plants. The middle layer of particleboard is wood chips, and the two sides are fine-textured wood chips. They are made by applying adhesives and other additives and hot pressing. According to the structure, they can be divided into single-layer, double-layer, and gradient structure particleboards. The surface layer of particleboard is powdery, and the particleboard with uniform texture is the best. The particleboard has a tight molecular structure and high bending strength.

2.Characteristics of melamine particleboard

The surface of melamine particleboard is flat, the texture of wood is realistic, beautiful and durable, and can be treated with various veneers; the bulk density is uniform, the thickness error is small, and the amount of glue used in the production process is small, so the environmental protection coefficient is relatively high; the granular shape of the internal cross-staggered structure makes its performance in all directions basically the same, the lateral bearing capacity is good, and it also has good sound absorption and sound insulation performance.

3.Uses of melamine particleboard

melamine particleboard is often used as a decorative board for interior walls in home or building decoration, which is often called partition wall. In use, it is usually necessary to cover the surface with plastic veneer. Unfaced particleboard is often used as the base board of wall panels, which can only play a supporting role, while medium-density particleboard and high-density particleboard have considerable glue content, and can be used to make semi-finished building decorative panels that can be directly installed.

4.Potential risks

Everything has two sides, with advantages and disadvantages. The disadvantage of particleboard is that it is not easy to cut due to its internal granular structure. It is easy to cause tooth breakage when cutting the board, so it has high requirements for some process processing equipment and is not suitable for on-site production; the edge of particleboard is rough and easy to absorb moisture. As the exposed part of the edge of furniture, it is necessary to take corresponding edge sealing treatment to prevent deformation.
