Melamine resin synthesized from melamine has excellent water resistance, heat resistance, arc resistance, flame retardancy and other characteristics. The decorative panels made of it can be used in furniture, flooring and interior decoration. Compared with traditional sticker furniture, melamine board can be resistant to high temperature, acid and alkali, moisture, and fire resistance. This board is based on particleboard and density board, and melamine impregnated paper is used as the veneer. The color and texture of the furniture surface depends on the effect of this veneer. Melamine is so commonly used in the home furnishing field, so will the melamine used in building materials cause harm to the human body?  The China          Furniture Flooring Professional Technical Committee told the media that high-end melamine boards have passed the random inspection and the melamine in  the boards will not cause harm to the human body as long as they are not eaten. Moreover, melamine does not volatilize under normal conditions and will not  cause harm to the human body. Consumers do not need to worry about this, let alone doubts about the health problems of melamine.

Melamine itself is very low in toxicity and relatively stable. After curing, it will not be free toxic. Whether the melamine board used to make furniture pollutes  the air depends on the medium-density board or particleboard substrate used by the melamine board. If the formaldehyde release of the substrate does not  meet the standard, it will only cause air pollution due to excessive formaldehyde. Consumers can use qualified melamine furniture with confidence.

 How to maintain melamine board furniture?

Generally speaking, the veneer of melamine board is extremely wear-resistant, scratch-resistant, acid-resistant, alkali-resistant, scalding-resistant and pollution- resistant, and generally does not require special maintenance. But be careful not to soak it in water for a long time during use to avoid cracking of the edge. If  the veneer is cracked or damaged unexpectedly, it can be repaired by the following method: first put a wet cloth on the damaged part, and then put a hot iron  on the wet cloth to force moisture into the veneer, and the veneer will become very tough and not easy to break. Then clean the old glue, apply a layer of  milky white glue on the base wood, and then apply a layer of new glue on the back of the loose veneer, compact it, and wait for the glue to dry completely.
